Conduct of Assessment
Assessment of a student’s progress is made throughout the year. Evidence is collected throughout the course using a combination of practical assessments, research projects, written exams, documentation and observation. Students are encouraged to develop their design skills and use research to inform their projects. Assessment is conducted in accordance with the AQTF (Australian Quality Training Framework) Essential Standards for Registration Assessment is competency based against the evidence and qualification guidelines as outlined in the Screen and Media Training Package (CUF07) It includes:

• Diagnostic assessment to determine training needs
• Formative assessment during the training
• Summative assessment of performance at the completion of training
• Recognition of prior learning or recognition of current competency
