The next year we embarked on another major tour of Europe including
Germany, Spain and Italy. Each year followed a similar pattern of
international and local touring.
While working on a movie I suffered a back injury, which put an end
to my dancing career. I returned to Australia for treatment and later
joined TCN 9 and began a two-year Television techniques course. I
also choreographed several ballets for Ballet Australia, Music
Hall, Television, Commercials, etc. I then moved to ABN Channel
2 and later acted as Head of Make-Up there before returning to England
in the sixties.
I became a Make-up Artists Supervisor at Granada Television,
Manchester, England. It was truly a wonderful place to work and I
spent several happy years there until an urgent call from Australia
brought me home suddenly. The last show I supervised was The
Music of Lennon and McCartney, a one hour special. It was a
great way to say goodbye to Granada. MORE>> |
