As I had to wait some time to discover if I’d been successful, I took myself off to Paris to study under some great teachers. During this time I was asked to join ‘Les Danseurs de France’ as first soloist with a trip to Ethiopia for Haile Selassies’s Silver Jubilee. This was an incredible experience. I was then invited to join the London Festival Ballet. I joined the company just in time to learn a new ballet for Grace Kelly’s wedding in Monte Carlo, presented at the Monte Carlo Grand Theatre. We also took part in a grand performance for Eurovision involving dancers and stars from many ballet companies on a specially built stage in front of the palace. At the end of our season in Monte Carlo we left on our main tour of various countries in Europe (including France, Holland and Norway) then Israel, Ireland and throughout England.
